Progress is well underway in Chattanooga where Hickory is managing construction of a new Communications Training Complex for the 241st Engineering & Installation Squadron of the Tennessee Air National Guard.
Hickory President, Burke Pinnell, joined National Guard representatives and elected officials in a groundbreaking ceremony on-site September 1. Located on a 24 acre tract off Bonny Oaks Drive, the LEED Silver project will include construction of a 25,000 sq. ft. Communications Building for offices, training rooms and supply areas. A 6,900 sq. ft. Vehicle Maintenance Building will feature maintenance bays, a wash bay, storage areas and support space. A third 3,000 sq. ft. covered area will be constructed for vehicle parking.
The training complex is designed by Karengaye M. Johnson of Architect’s International and C2RL, Incorporated Engineers.
