In the Construction Zone

  • Residential work is gaining momentum with several new projects under contract.  Hickory is scheduled to begin a number of renovation and new home construction projects in Knox County and Blount County.
  • In addition to the residential projects, Hickory is set to begin construction on pools and outdoor entertainment areas in Knoxville, with one to start in January and two more scheduled to begin in February.
  • Hickory will lead construction of a new office building for Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation (KCDC).  The steel and masonry structure will include offices on the first floor, and rental space on the second floor.
  • Hickory continues to estimate projects related to the spring 2011 storms that caused extensive hail damage across east Tennessee.  Of 67 repair estimates we have prepared for past clients, we have completed work on 27, with several scheduled to begin in the next few months.
