HICKORY-BUILT: CONTEMPORARY WOMEN’S HEALTH

Hickory Construction is pleased to unveil one of its newest projects – the Contemporary Women’s Health offices at 10031 Sherrill Blvd. in Knoxville. Begun in spring 2014, the 10,629-square-foot facility was completed on February 27. The CWH team opened their doors on March 9 after relocating from their previous site on Parkwest Boulevard.

In keeping with the name of the business, the building itself is contemporary in its styling, both inside and out. Designed by BarberMcMurry architects of Knoxville, the single-level structure features distinctive metal panels that run the length of its upper face, and the generous number of windows – which are installed in an engagingly staggered arrangement – provide abundant natural light. Exterior accents include segments of red brick wall surfacing for eye-catching color and a rock garden that spans the front perimeter of the facility.

The new space allows Contemporary Women’s Health to address what had been some of its most pressing needs – additional square footage, a more convenient location and the ability to see patients more efficiently. The new facility includes exam rooms and offices for the OB/GYN staff as well as areas for yoga classes, massage therapy and aesthetic services.
