Hickory-Built: Taking the Old and Making it New

In January, Hickory Construction, Inc. began renovating a 3,351-square foot building, which will be the location of Dr. Sarah Shanks’ new dental office at 904 W. Broadway in Maryville (next to Maryville High School). The project involves renovation of a 1920’s building, which happens to be the location of the first dental office in Maryville in the early 1900’s. The building is being gutted and updated with modern technology, neutral, relaxing finishes and plenty of natural light. The building’s existing brick exterior will remain, but Hickory is adding new HardieShingle® siding. Construction is scheduled for completion this month.

Dr. Shanks, previously with Dr. Hope Watson, will open her new practice once renovations are complete. She chose Hickory for this project based on the company’s reputation for quality, reliable scheduling, and the company’s extensive experience building and renovating dental offices.
