Alcoa, Tenn. – Hickory Construction, Inc. has recently added two new employees to its Alcoa-based operations.
Taking over the role of commercial superintendent, Josh Tanner joins the Hickory team from Creative Structures, Inc. of Knoxville, Tenn., where he had a wide variety of roles including project estimator, project manager, safety coordinator, safety inspector and project supervisor.
Hickory also welcomes Mark McDonald, Jr. to the company as field manager. McDonald has more than 20 years of experience in the construction business, 10 of which he served as a superintendent and construction manager in building commercial, medical and government facilities.
Prior to joining Hickory Construction, McDonald was the project manager and superintendent of M.D. McDonald Construction Company in Brunswick, Ga., since 2005. Key projects he worked on within the company include the VA Medical Center in Atlanta, VA Medical Center in Augusta, Ga., the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Fla., and Eisenhower Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Fla.
