LEED Silver Project Complete in Chattanooga

The new Communications Training complex for the 241st Engineering and Installation Squadron of the Tennessee Air National Guard in Chattanooga, Tennessee is fully operational after Hickory Construction put the finishing touches on the LEED facility in November 2010.

With construction complete, the facility awaits final documentation for its LEED Silver certification from the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).  Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, LEED strategies aim to improve performance of energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, resource stewardship and indoor environmental quality.

Currently, Hickory is working on two additional LEED projects outlined below “In the Construction Zone.”
