As company president and one of its partners, Burke Pinnell has had a front-row seat for the entire history and growth of Hickory Construction, Inc. – from its infancy in 1977 to its current status as one of the most respected general contractors in the region.
Today, Burke leads a team of nearly 70 employees and works to ensure that every project completed by Hickory is representative of the company’s commitment to personal service, accurate estimates, timely completion and a safe workplace.
He graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in landscape architecture and has served on the board of directors of several East Tennessee organizations, including the Great Smoky Mountain Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Boys & Girls Club of Blount County, the Maryville-Alcoa Home Builders Association, Blount County Chamber of Commerce, Foothills Land Conservancy and Clayton-Bradley Academy.
